EVALUATIONS

Tierra Alta Neuropsychology provides neuropsychological evaluation for adults ages 18 years and over with suspected or diagnosed medical conditions, such as:

  • Dementia due to Alzheimer’s disease

  • Other dementias (e.g., Frontotemporal dementia)

  • Stroke

  • Parkinson’s disease

  • HIV

  • Multiple Sclerosis

  • Brain tumors

TYPES OF TESTING

As part of a comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation, standardized testing is completed to assess an individual’s capabilities in different areas such as:

  • Learning and memory

  • Attention and concentration

  • Intellectual functioning (IQ)

  • Language

  • Visuospatial ability

  • Executive functioning
    (e.g., multi-tasking, problem-solving)

  • Fine and gross motor ability

  • Emotional and behavioral functioning

  • Personality functioning

  • Daily living skills (e.g., everyday tasks like managing money or medicine)
